Ooh man. Okay. Sabino Canyon is a great place to go to see the desert -- it's a little outside the city but not too far. If you'll be here for a few days and have a full free morning, the Desert Museum is even better, but it's a bit of a drive. If you want to stay in the city area, there's Tohono Chul park (they also have a tea house!) and the Botanical Gardens. To see the town, University Avenue and Fourth Avenue have good/interesting restaurants and shops. Downtown is pretty tiny, but there are some neat old buildings and things if you want to just walk around someplace.
