Nov. 10th, 2005 01:00 amOhoho. So I'm in MN. Actually, I have been for like 4 hours, but.. y'know >.>
Driving up was crazy because we left like 30-60 minutes later than we probably should have, and then there was an accident which delayed us another 30-45 minutes. So by the time we got to Andrea's it was 4:00. It takes an hour to get to the airport. Our plane was scheduled to leave at 5:11. So I officially missed my first flight ever. It was so stressful too, oh man. But really, it wasn't so bad in the end, because there was a flight 2 hours later, and it was actually pretty nice.
Dad picked me up and took me home, and we chatted while I ate a Honeycrisp apple. Damn fine apple too, if I do say so myself. I still can't get over how.. I dunno.. pleasant he is. He used to be kind of hard to talk to, but now he's just so nice and sweet, and I'm not entirely sure how or when it happened, but hey, I'm not complaining.
So.. anyway, here I am. I've been dinking around online into the wee hours of the morning, as I habitually do. I now have around 2k on my NaNo, which is sad, because I should really be at, oh, 17k? Yeah. Sucky McSuckPants. I got about 700 done on the plane, but I'm still terribly, awfully behind. I'm hoping to make some of it up this weekend, but we'll see if that actually happens.
I've also been reading some of the sites Tracy sent me. Tracy, I love you. Really. Sometimes I don't know what I'd do without you, and not just because you send me sites I'm too intimidated to search for myself, but because you don't think I'm an idiot or a weenie for asking you to help. You are the Google Goddess, and you're extremely handy.
